Our campsite is situated on beautiful land, not connected to mains power or water. The location provided us a unique opportunity to build ‘off-grid’ facilities with as much care for the environment as we could afford. We have grown more aware of the importance of saving the planet in any small ways we can and of encouraging others to ‘go green’.
Our vision is to establish a centre where suppliers can demonstrate environmentally friendly products and methods, where green technology and approaches can be seen in action and where everyone can learn how to reduce, re-use and recycle.
This year we would like to explore the possibility of working with students, writers & researchers who have an interest in some of our projects. Are you looking for a topic on which to base a thesis, dissertation or research paper? For example, our grey water recycling system, how effective is it? What impact does this system have on the soil balance of the surrounding area? To what extent do average levels of household detergents & soaps affect soil structure, fertility and yield?
